Who we are

Lydia

Lydia is an artist and filmmaker, producing films for various arts organisations, charities and the third sector alongside independent documentaries. She is particularly interested in how film can be used as an anthropological tool to capture the embodied aspects of human experience and provoke meaningful discussions about our internal lives and place in the world.

Her work engages with topics ranging from mindfulness, art therapy and interfaith theatre to migration, language and peace and reconciliation work. Lydia's passion is cinematography and forming meaningful relationships with the people whose stories are told.

Jules

Jules is a filmmaker, designer and animator. Though she originally trained as an illustrator, her work always engaged with social issues such as language, migration and politics. After training as a visual anthropologist, she uses her creative skills to tell stories through different formats - video, sound and through design.

Her passion is editing - she is fascinated by the way that different narratives that be carved out of the same footage - as well as the social and political consequences of these narratives.

Sam

Sam is a filmmaker and producer with a passion for providing a platform to underrepresented voices. Her passion for people and stories enables her to form strong relationships with contributors, and her goal is to share their stories in fair way.

She has worked on documentary films for both television and cinema. Some of her work has taken her to work with LGBTQ+ asylum seekers in Manchester to working with dancers in a prison in Burkina Faso. Coming from an anthropological background, her training in the discipline uniquely informs her approach to producing non-fiction content and has inspired her to work with different media forms to tell stories.
