Sitting Still is an experimental essay film which attempts to situate the viewer from the perspective of a meditator, exploring the concept of mindfulness through the interior monologue of one woman.
What is it like to be inside the head of somebody meditating and how does this personal experience challenge notions of what it means to be mindful in society today?
How can the medium of film convey an experience that is situated internally?
Throughout, these questions inform the filmmaker’s aesthetic and conceptual choices, as the viewer is taken on a journey through the mind and its relationship to thoughts, memory and identity.
